Do I need a credit card to start?+
No. The Free plan requires no credit card. Paid plans start a 14-day free trial — you can cancel any time before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
What happens to my data if I cancel?+
Your data stays safe and readable. You'll be downgraded to the Free tier (1 GB limit). If you're over the limit, you can still access your content but won't be able to add new uploads until you upgrade or delete files.
Can I change plans later?+
Absolutely. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time directly from your billing portal. Unused days are prorated.
What does the $14.99 Complete Archive include?+
The Complete Archive is a one-time purchase that generates a ZIP file containing every photo, every document, plus a full JSON backup of your vault metadata. Available to vault admins on any plan. The free PDF and JSON backups are always available for admins as well.
How secure is my family's data?+
All files are encrypted at rest using AES-256 on AWS S3. All data in transit uses TLS 1.3. Your family vault is private — nobody outside your family can access it.
What's the difference between plans?+
The main differences are storage, the number of family members you can invite, and AI features. Free is just you, 1 GB. Family gives you 10 GB, up to 5 members, and all AI features (recipe scanner, handwriting transcriber, family chat, AI trivia). Extended gives you 100 GB and up to 40 family members.
